Movie self-timer

So many vlog posts begin with the subject retreating from the camera after they’ve pressed the movie capture button, but with Movie Self Timer your camera will give you time to get settled and compose yourself, so you can start your movie more professionally.

Transcode movies over Wi-Fi

Converting movies content from one format to another (a process called transcoding) is an important part of preparing video for an online audience. Usually, we take the high-quality footage from the camera and convert it to something smaller in file size, so your audience can see it more quickly. Transcoding usually requires a computer, but with the EOS M50 Mark II this can be done automatically as the footage is being transferred to your smart device via Wi-Fi. This speeds up your wireless workflow by reducing the time it takes to get a movie file ready for upload to your online audience. The original, higher quality file is left on the camera’s memory card for editing on your PC/Mac.
