Junior Back-End Software Developer
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Back-End Software Developer who is eager to grow and develop their technical skills while contributing to the development and maintenance of reliable web applications and hosting environments. This role is ideal for someone who already has in between one to two years of experience in software development.
You will work closely with experienced developers, QA engineers and a product manager to implement features, fix issues, and learn best practices in building scalable and secure back-end applications.
Your work will directly support Avantech’s mission to provide efficient, secure and high-quality software that improves business operations across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and maintain the back-end web applications
· Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code under guidance from senior team members
· Collaboration in managing hosting environments
· Troubleshooting and debugging
· Support in optimizing applications for performance and scalability
· Collaborate with team members in code reviews and development discussions
· Participate in testing and bug-fixing activities
Skills & Qualifications
· Having confidence and autonomy in scripting languages like PHP, .Net, C# or Java
· 1 to 2 years of experience with Ruby, Laravel, Django or Express frameworks
· 1 to 2 years of experience with SQL, MySLQ and Oracle database systems
· Version control, such as Git
· Knowledge of SOAP and REST web services
· Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring applications adhere to them
