Mid-level IT Solutions Consultant – Business Solutions
Role Overview
As a IT Solutions Consultant within our Business Solutions department, you will take ownership of key projects and lead the integration of technology solutions with business strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of both business processes and technology development , combined with strong interpersonal, communication, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Your will directly support Avantech’s mission to provide efficient, secure, and high-quality software that improves business operations across diverse industries. By leveraging your solid experience, you will guide clients’ IT teams and business stakeholders through complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Implement and maintain IT projects, ensuring that agreed deliverables are implemented successfully.
· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
· Identify opportunities for digital transformation and guide clients through the change process.
· Consult and support client initiatives to transform and optimize their business processes through innovative IT solutions
· Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and end-users.
· Act as a trusted advisor, balancing business needs with technological capabilities.
· Conduct regular on-site client visits to run meetings and workshops.
Qualifications and Skills
· Previous software development experience (approx. 2–3 years)
· A passion for hands on implementations
· Experience installing and maintaining SQL databases
· Experience managing client interactions in solution design/configuration, sales, installation, and occasionally support
· Solid experience working along senior-level IT consultants and C-levels executives is preferrable
· Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects and driving business transformation
· Excellent Maltese language skills required and own means of transport
· Driven and proactive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels
· Knowledge of enterprise architecture, business analysis, and project management
· Familiarity with industry best practices, compliance standards, and emerging technologies
· Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
· Exposure to software sales and business development will be considered an asset
· Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or ITIL are highly desirable
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field is considered an asset
