Ready to use, straight out of the box

Canon Cinema EOS Cameras come with most of the essential components in the box when purchasing so you can start shooting immediately without having to look for a myriad of optional accessories.

Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus

Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology is invaluable when obtaining accurate and reliable focus. A large sensor’s very shallow depth of field can make it difficult to obtain/maintain accurate focus, but with Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, both autofocus and manual focusing (using the innovative and intuitive Dual Pixel Focus Guide) reliably produces stunning results, reducing the likelihood of misfocusing, saving time and money during a shoot.

Internal 4K RAW recording

The Cinema EOS system allows you to record Cinema RAW Light up to 4K/50P on to a CFast 2.0™ card for complete flexibility in post-production. It has a file size around 1/3 – 1/5 that of the current RAW while maintaining original data for high-resolution images with natural colours and a wide dynamic range (up to 15-stops) for post-production flexibility.

Versatile recording formats

Besides recording Cinema RAW Light internally, Canon Cinema EOS cameras support a range of recording formats including Canon’s own XF-AVC format in resolutions up to 4K 4:2:2 10-bit. This can be used either as a proxy file or with the built-in Wide DR Gamma if colour grading is not an option.

Vast lens compatibility

With Canon’s Cinema EOS cameras, you can either shoot with one of over 90 Canon EF and CN-E lenses or you can also shoot with PL or B4 Lenses*.

*Compatibility varies by model and mount change might be subject to service fees.
