Description

The Canon EOS R6 Mark III delivers the optimal balance of quality and performance: exceptional detail to achieve your vision, and superb speed to capture every moment. With a 32.5 megapixel sensor, 40fps continuous shooting1, intelligent auto focus tracking and custom controls, this powerful camera is built to match your pace, workflow and creative ambitions.

Quality meets performance

With a 32.5MP full-frame sensor, the Canon EOS R6 Mark III hits the resolution sweet spot with exceptional detail and optimised file sizes for lighter storage. In-camera crop modes extend your reach for wildlife and sports, and up to 8.5 stops3 of stabilisation ensures steady handheld stills and video. Plus, it offers excellent low light performance thanks to an ISO range up to 64,000.

Ready when you are

Whether you’re on the pitch or in the wild, with the Canon EOS R6 Mark III you can catch the fastest action thanks to 40fps1 continuous shooting. Plus, an expanded buffer handles up to 150 RAW images in a single burst when using CFexpress cards – twice the power of the R6 Mark II and with higher resolution.

Never miss a moment

Some events only happen once, and thanks to pre-continuous shooting you’ll never miss a beat. Record 20 frames before you press the shutter in full RAW, JPEG, or HEIF.

Discover your inner filmmaker

Ready to explore video? The EOS R6 Mark III is built with powerful features to support a confident step into filmmaking, recording high-quality 7K RAW up to 60p, and oversampled 4K 60p with smooth slow motion for cinematic effect. Easily repurpose your content across platforms with Open Gate recording and make the most of pro-level tools like waveform monitor, proxies, metadata tagging, full-size HDMI, and 4-channel audio.

Built to power your workflow

Work smarter and faster with a range of improved and optimised features. Dual aspect markers let you frame for multiple platforms in one shot, and a redesigned control tab means you can personalise key settings to suit your shooting style. Plus, a tough weather-resistant4 body and long-lasting battery for ultimate reliability.

Flexible storage. Seamless sharing.

For better organisation and extra security, make the most of the EOS R6 Mark III’s dual card slots – one for the fast and high-capacity CFexpress Type B and another for the widely-used UHS-II SD. Access features like relay recording and proxy movie recording, or keep stills and videos on different cards. You can also count on built-in wireless connectivity, with support for 5GHz Wi-Fi2 and Bluetooth 5.1, when you need to share your files quickly and securely.

Open Gate recording

Open Gate is a method that captures video using the entire area of a camera’s image sensor, rather than cropping full frame lenses to standard aspect ratios like 16:9 or 17:9. By utilising the full sensor height and width – often in formats like 3:2 or 4:3 – Open Gate maximises resolution and image data. For example, a full-frame sensor might deliver a full 7K image at 6960×4640 using Open Gate, whereas A traditional 17:9 DCI aspect ratio would reduce the height of the image to 6960×3672.

The key advantage of Open Gate is flexibility. It provides more room in post-production for reframing, stabilisation, and high-resolution delivery across multiple formats. This is especially valuable for creators delivering to both cinematic and social platforms, allowing for simultaneous 16:9, 9:16, or even square aspect ratios from a single source. In addition, utilising the full height of the sensor also benefits anamorphic shooting by capturing a larger cinematic field of view.

Register People Priority AF

Tell your camera who matters most in a scene, and register up to 100 faces, with 10 set as top priority. The camera will then automatically detect and track those faces in order, ensuring your chosen subjects remain sharp. You can register faces from images already taken or from files stored on the card, and adjust priorities directly in-camera. This is ideal for busy environments like weddings, news events, or red carpets.
